Pretty please, with cherries on top?

Birthday banners are great, unique baby gifts for only $60!
I know this picture doesn't give you a great idea since I was using a camera phone. But this banner was created for a 2-year-old who will be donning a cherry dress for her birthday, a family tradition for all of their 2-year-old girls. I love fun traditions like that!

Birthday Banners: The Gift that Keeps on Giving

I can't believe that I already painted Benjamin's birthday banner and have it stored away! Can he really be 1 already?

Birthday Banners...$60

Don't forget that birthday banners are great alternative gifts that will last forever as opposed to a toy that's played with today and gone tomorrow!

Happy birthday, Davo!

I had the privilege of painting this banner for Mary Elizabeth's "best boy friend". Birthday banners make a great birthday gift that will be used for years and years!

Wild West Birthday

Birthday Banners...$60

OK, I know it's not really the "Wild West", but that's what came to mind when I posted this picture. Birthday banners make great presents for newborns! This customer is giving one to all of her church members with new babies. What a fun welcome! Thanks, SuSu, for including me with a new mom's joy!

Summer-inspired birthday banners

Now that's summer here, I've really been inspired by the brighter colors...especially this bright pink.
Miss Megan has a December bday, so her parents typically have a "half-year" bday party instead. Should I have provided a half of a candle? Ha!
I can't believe that my sweet niece is already a year old! I guess I should start working on Benjamin's! This isn't the best pic, but the cake colors are lime green, yellow, and purple.

Happy birthday, Landon!

I made this banner for Landon who turned one earlier this week but his party isn't until tomorrow. I just hope that he and his family get to enjoy the party with their friends and family and not have to worry about Mother Nature tomorrow! Katie, thank you for letting me do this for you!

Candyland Birthday

I recently had a request from Arizona to paint a birthday banner for a little girl who's having a candy-themed birthday. What kid doesn't love candy? Her mom asked for these fun colors and big lollipops. What a lucky girl to have such a fun mom!

All-Star Caden

My friend's little boy just turned one this week. She asked me to create a sports-themed banner since he obviously hasn't decided which sport he'll play when he's older. I think this captures the idea and is definitely something that Ashley will be able to reuse for years to come.

Happy Birthday, Taylor!

I made this banner for one of my oldest friend's little girl who just turned one. It looked great with Taylor's Luau party. Too bad the paper mache volcano didn't work out so well. :)

Happy Birthday, Beckett!

My best friends' nephew turned one a few weeks ago. I painted this banner for him to grow up with for each birthday. I know that Beckett's daddy loves baseball, plus I think Beckett was named after the Beckett baseball trading cards, so I was obviously inspired by the baseball theme. I even based the lettering from a baseball jersey (I think Brooklyn???). I'm sure my brother will correct me. :)

I had a lot of fun doing this banner as it was the first themed banner I have done. As I'm typing this post, I already see some changes I want to make for the next one. I have a friend that wants a similar one to this for her little boy's birthday in November. I can't wait to see how it comes out!

**************************************************************************
Growing up, my dear sweet friends' mom always hung a hand-painted birthday banner on their mantle. I loved the idea so much that I said I was going to do it for my kids, too. Now that I have a kid, one on the way, and work full time, I realized that I probably wouldn't have the time or energy to make one each year, especially since ME's birthday is so close to Christmas. Rather than rushing through and sloppily painting one every year, I decided to hand-paint one on canvas that I could reuse every year.

This is Mary Elizabeth's banner. The pink was a nice break from all of the Christmas decor in the house.

I painted this one for my friend, Molly, and her son, Carson. He is having his second birthday this weekend. Wow!
Each birthday banner is hand-painted on canvas. I personally like to do the three-tiered cake for drama, but I can paint almost any design that you would like. I cut out enough fabric candles for you to have 18 candles. I figured that your child will probably not want a birthday banner after 18. I'm a little different, though, and actually would love it at any age!
